DS810XE Remote problem

Has anyone else encountered problems with their r/c?

The box is slow to react and sometimes needs several presses of the button before it registers a command.

I've done the obvious, two sets of batteries tried and no difference. I've also looked at the remote sender through a digital camera and can see the light flashing away when any button is pressed, so my feeling is that it's the box rather than the remote.

Nothing has changed in regard to set-up, location/connections etc. I am thinking of doing a factory reset and seeing if that works - does the panel think it's worth doing?

I want to try all I can before contacting Pace (unit is still in warranty) but I know they are going to ask the obvious and then want the thing back, and I'm not keen to lose the use of it.

Mine exhibits this problem when I switch off the power. It seems that after the "hello" message and the blue light going back to red the processor is still busy doing something. The impression I have is that the DS810XE is not looking for the infra red from the remote. However leaving mine alone for a couple of minutes before bringing it out of standby seems to give normal response from the remote!
