Default Mesh dishes

Are mesh dishes less efficient size for size than solid? Does some of the signal get lost in the holes? I have just started researching satellite TV info. Any comments welcome.

Default Re: Mesh dishes

The holes are smaller than the wavelength of the signals bouncing off the dish so do not absorb or scatter the signals.
