I got ambit 255 flashed from ebay how do i use the ambit config file. what am supposed to do from here onwards.

Update:........

i have got a flashed ambit 255. Now i have configured to my area setting, Mac i sniffed and tftp Ip using max 232 and wrote these setting using 250 configurator fixed software, everything went smoothly clicked disconnect took the power off and max 232.

So my question is did i miss anything? and can i connect to the feed now get online or is there something else to do.

what is the worst thing that can happen, let us say if my (configuring) area settings were wrong.

sorry to ask but am a bit cautious.

just make sure you change your user and password has you write back to the modem,, any thing has long as you can remember it

mine i left as: admin and infinite. is this the one i need changing.

thanx m8 4 been so helpful, there aren't that many ppl helpin on modems as its on cable, I wonder y?

Hi cabuukar change that password as soon as possible and dont connect the cable feed till you do theres a small update that the cable modem will receive in seconds if you dont and it will brick your modem. Hope you changed your password.

i haven't connected to the connection feed coz this is what i was worried about, some1 sayin u shoulda dun this or that.

sorry 4 the lingo but i have temped to connect the feed since the mornin and am itching really.

while am changing the password do i change the user name aswell.

username: admin
Password: infinite

am changing this right using the n*l configurator V1.21 to what eva i like and write to the modem, then connect to the feed.
