Default is dish size the prob

what does it mean if i can get a signal on a certain tp and when i look for another transponder i cant see it, ie no signal bar, is this to do with dish size

ie one tp is available on a certain dish size but other require a bigger dish
or if you see one the you should see all,

Are you absolutely sure you are pointing at the right satellite? Make sure the channel you are trying to get is the correct one. Different satellites transmit on some frequencies that are the same as other satellites. Hence when you try to get another transponder, there is no signal if you are pointing at the wrong sat.

In addition some satellites have transponders on different beams. Providing the transponders you are trying to get are on the same beam, you should get them all providing you are not on the edge of the beam zone.

defo pointing at right sat. im after discovery hd on thor

Thor 5 (0.8W) - 11434.00 V - Txp: C15 - Beam: EuropeDVB-S2 (8PSK) - 25000 3/4 - NID:70 - TID:38 (discovery hd)

here is some screen shots as you can see in settings im gettin tp 11357 very good but when i go to discovery hd tp the signal drops.

i get both horizontal and vertical well all through thor

i have this problem on hotbird aswell so its not exclusive to thor hence why i was wondering if some tp from same sat need a bigger dish.

thanks

edge of beam zone would that be relevent to the size of dish?
