Hi,
Had a search on the forums and couldn't find this particular issue anywhere so apologies if already asked. I am living in Dublin and happily using a Eurovox with all channels. I'm moving to another house in Dublin next week and I need to order NTL in the new house. I want the basic NTL TV package and also multiroom with it's own PVR. The basic pack can come with a PVR for €5 a month extra and multiroom is an extra €8.50 a month. Can I order the PVR and multiroom and use the supplied PVR for the 2nd TV ? Will it all work ? Will it screw up the Eurovox ? Any other suggestions ? Questions , questions , questions ?!!!! Any help, as always , much appreciated ![]() Thanks and sorry again if already on forum. |

Only someone who has done the same installation could give you an answer, but I can see no reason why it should not work OK ...If I were in your shoes I would be confident it will work Ok post back when you have done it,for future reference ...

the only multiroom they will install is with a subbed box at the end of the cable. i.e your pvr in one room and a subbed box in another. the plonkers on vm's call centre may tell you otherwise but when your installation happens thats all you will get im affraid.

Just order the basic TV package. Then buy the cable and run it to the room you want it in.It will work out cheaper for you , and don't tell them you have a eurovox. You can get all the cable + box in argus/maplins. You will save 162.00 euro in fee's "PER YEAR".Then you can Buy a new eurovox pvr.

Yeah just order a single tv connection, there's no point paying extra for multiroom as all you'll have to do is run you're own wiring feed and you'll be sorted.
Infact we didn't even order ANY tv package at all we just got the basic broadband conection and inserted a splitter for the tv as it works out £2 cheaper per month with no official tv. |

Hi Again
Moved in and as luck would have it , there is a live NTL connection. plugged in the TV and the Eurovox and hey presto , all working fine! Happy Days Now need to sort the multiroom but as I didn't order NTL, I don't have a NTL Receiver. Anyway. I split the NTL port into 2 and hung the 2nd TV off it and I could pick up the normal 17 ish stations, albeit with very bad reception on some of them. If I get a second Eurovox box , will that just work as a multiroom player ? As alway , thanks |
