I got my chiped modem online somehow so i thought i check it
the ubr agianst mine but to my shock its the same

cp**-nfds**-0-0-cust***.l***.cable.ntl.com

am i in trouble plz help coz am really paranoid.

sorry m8 but what do u really mean?

Shouldn't my modded1 get bricked as soon as i connect to the cable feed without configuring properly? why is it working then?

PS: (i done al my setting but couldn't change the username and password so i clicked apply on AMBIT CONFIGURE and it finished applying.
i tried changing the username and password again and it comes up as TCP CONNECTION FAILURE, so i lost it and connected to the feed but instead of bricking it, it worked

?

PLZ HELP.

ok trying to read but you got to many posts going,,you got a ambit 250 with a 232 lead and using ambit tool am i right/wrong

right. and i can go online on both modems (the chipped and the subbed) both have exactly same ubr.

checked 192.168.100.1 on both modems
subbed1 gives me all the right infos (ie mac address, serial number, Vi***n M**ia)

Modded1 asks me log in user name and password (tried admin infinite and SetValue) no luck.

that is where am at right now

if you got 232 lead that should bypass all passwords and user names
