The 4001 is a DAVIC box and will only only work in Pure N*L areas.
These boxes set their own netID when connected

The 4000 (and 1000, 1000 rev 1B, and 2000) are DOCSIS boxes and will work in ExC&W and TelePest.
NetID needs to be set by Funcard or Libdebug.

See post on this Forum......
"What model for what area"

Sorry....it won't let me post a direct link!!!

What does that mean? SCART perhaps?

You can't set the netID on a 4001 by SCART or anything else......
It will ONLY set itself in PureNTL area.

In NetId and and Freq database the area shows ExC&W for East London, but the provider was NTL, so will 4001n work in the area?
