ive heard it does work, but i thing it may have the same trouble every st chip has and dont keep the setting changes properly, i may be wrong, give it a go and see,

you can always load somthing else or blackcat it back to life using the jtag port

my only concern is i cant see a force config tick box lol.

i take it that it forces the config file name you enterd by default?

i want to give it a try on a sb5101e. but ive read that is a bad idea to install over a pre installed infinite?

Also do the leds work properly on the SB now?

I also read changing the snp ports is a good idea? STEALTH!?

gonna try install now on a webstar 2100 i have just required!

Just before I try this again with another 250 modem-think I bricked 1st 1 by saving flash to wrong sector can I ask what the 2 different files are and why they go in different areas(sector 0 or 1) The full 2mb flash I belive is to go to sector 0, am I right with that? And the smaller flash, under 1mb goes in 1? Do I need to do full flash 1st then the smaller 1 saving to the relevant sectors or is it just one OR the other I flash? Would like to understand the difference betwen the 2 before I do it.

Custom firmware for BCM3349 based modems
Version: 1.0rc4

Instructions:

If your modem is currently running infinite firmware YOU MUST restore it to its normal (virgin) state, like it was out of the box.
To to this you restore your 2MB backup that i hope you made before flashing infinite.
After your modem is in virgin state you can either:

Flash with USBJTAG/SBHJTAG:

CODE
ldram image0
(find haxorware10rc4.bin in the window that popped up)
program image0
program image1

Flash with parallel Blackcat:

CODE
Menu->Options uncheck verify written data
Click the Flash tab
Click Detect
--- METHOD 1 ---
Click the 5100 tab
Click program firmware
Find and Select haxorware10rc4.bin
--------------------

--- METHOD 2 ---
In the flash tab click write
Find haxorware10rc4.bin
enter 0x10000 as offset
--------------------

Flash with diag cable (requires noisy bootloader)
CODE
Set the computers ip to 192.168.100.10
Set up a TFTP server with haxorware10rc4.bin in its root
Connect to modem with hyperterminal or putty (with changed CR/LF to LF)
While modem is turning on press p (you should get a prompt)
Set the Modem IP to 192.168.100.1
Everything else just press enter
When you get at the menu press d
Enter 192.168.100.10 as TFTP IP
Enter haxorware10rc4.bin as filename
It should download
When asked what image to save to, answer 1
Answer n to the save parameters prompt
press b once its done to boot the modem

found this hope it helps
