audio description stuck on

I've got a pace Di 4000, just recently upped to 3.6 and the audio description is stuck on.

I've been into the settings and it shows it as off but the commentary still comes through.

Any ideas?

i had one exactly same i just pulled jumper then reset net id with funcard and it was back to normal m8 hope this helps

done that, still no joy. its kinda funny for about 5 minutes then gets really annoying. heh.

It's actually a Di4000T and its on software 3_3_5_09_KNOW_PO4

Its not on 3.6 software as I thought and the 4321 trick doesn't seem to force it to update.

when i hold up and down, before the e/m comes up a 'loader' screen is displayed. it says somethiong about skipping download?

any more ideas?

Its probably got a no update mod done on it, depends on what area your in, have you tried switching it on in the menu then off again ?

Its a TW box and im in C+W. all is ok, card ect and chans, net id, just this bloody commentary on the movies which its available on.

I cant see any evidence of any components being removed from the pictures which are available. I've seen pictures of the 4000n and the 4010, i presume the componets would be the same on a 4000T? or am i looking in the wrong place?

Also, theres only one atmel on this board. There is space for the other but it isnt there. thats right isnt it? It doesn't look like its been resoldered.

I've still not got any further with this box. Reset it, pulled jumper, tried to force update, nada.

When I try to force the update it just resets.

Like I said in a previous post, this box displays a 'loader' screen before displaying e/m. Its a blue screen and does say on the 2nd line down. 'skipping download' and on the 3rd line down the flash build ect.

The t/b mod on this box was already done when i got it. Dont ask me why but i soldered the track back together to see if that would make a diff to the updating but it didn't. Also, even though i have reversed the t/b cut mod. The e/m still says that the path is off and the middle LED still flashes?

What i want to do is force this box to update to 3.6 in the hope that it will sort this audio description out.

When I boot this box, it doesn't go through the usual motions, it just boots.

Any more ideas are very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
