I have a idea which I think the people who manufacture/design the eurovoxes should seriously consider... or is there something that can do this already?
A PCI Cable Tuner Card, which allows for the user to view television channels on a PC without a Eurovox + Capture Card. It could operate with similar code following abilities to the e-vox and do the same thing. It would be useful for people who are planning to setup a home PVR system, using PVR Software such as Sagetv, and would not like to have one or two e-voxes stacked in a cupboard with a server. The cable simply goes straight to the PCI Card faceplate. I know that this is just an idea and it is easier said than done, but is this a possibility - e-vox functionality in a small PCI card for the PC or PVR user. The reason i thought up this was because I am planning on making a house wide PVR system using SageTV (server + mediamvp's), and feel that stacked e-voxes would be a little bit silly, compared to a small PCI Card. I am sure that there would be a somewhat sizable market for this product. What do you think? Constructive comments please. ![]() Ryan |
