can you use the eurovox with a ethernet cable.
am asking because i've got an ethernet cable going upstairs to my room but the router is downstairs. so i would like to use the ethernet cable. is it possible. |

No, you need aerial cable from the point where your cable service enters your home, using a splitter

well, if you mean to get the TV signal over ethernet, no - it comes through a cable feed.
or, if you mean to update the firmware, no - you have to use a pc/laptop with RS232 Null modem cable. So - dont worry about ethernet - it has nothing to do with it .Thanks [disclaimer = connecting the eurovox to a cable network such as virgin media is illegal and will breach your contract with them, even if they don't know ;-) ]
