Hi,
I am a newbie looking to buy equipment. I have a 1 metre Channel Master dish which used to be used for internet connection. I was told that i could use this to point at 1 satellite with 1 LNB. But that it would not be good to use with 3 LNB's. Something about it only being an uni-directional dish. Can somebody give me some clarification of this, or is my supplier just trying to sell me another dish? I am hoping to pickup Astra 2 (28E), Astra 1 (19E) & Hotbird (13E). In case it matters, i am interested in getting setup for HD Transmissions as they roll out, and i will be using a HD receiver Technomate 6900 and from research on the internet new Titanium second edition 0.2dB LNBs. Can this Channel Master dish be used with 3 LNB's ? Thanks in advance, Dave |

cant see why not, may depend on what madel, to how easy it is, you may need to use alps lnb's for 13e and 16e if you change your mind on sats, is it this dish
Triax TD 1.1m Steel Dish if so, give Ian a shout at soutern sat, as he may be able to source the correct holder for you ![]() Andie

I was thinking of doing the same, I have a multi lnb holder that i was going to adapt to fit. It should work fine as its an optical 1m dish.
There is also this problem for single sat reception...... Channel master Vsat feed The channel master dish will also fit the polar mount

Hi Crossbones,
Any advice where i could buy a multi LNB holder, and also what type of LNB's to buy for this Channel Master 1.0 m ? I wonder do any other readers of this Forum have a Channel Master already setup and working with multiple LNB's ? Dave |

There isnt a multi lnb bracket available that i know of, for the c/m dish`s.
Your best bet would be to try and modify one. I bought mine off ebay,I think its`s for a lenson heath dish. Any univesal lnb`s will work.

There is a URL for Channel Master brackets at
http://www.intellectsystems.co.uk/ep...el%20Master%22 Looks like the more expensive bracket is adjustable and probably what i need ? Any advice ? I will attach a photo of the dish i have and the internet feedhorn-receiver-transmitter. Can anyone advise on specific LNB and/or feedhorn which would be best for this dish? Thanks for your advice so far guys! Dave |

I just heard from the Satellite guy at SatelliteTV Ireland that
"this dish is a Prime Focus dish" and not suitable for multiple LNB's Can anyone give me some more advice on this please. I am sourcing a Magic LNB Bracket from the US which looks like it is fully adjustable to hold 4 LNB's. I may have to work out a way to attach it securely and firmly to the arm. Does anybody out there have or have seen working a Channel Master 1.0 dish with 3 lnb's ? Please see photo on previous reply for photo of dish. "I thought a 'satellite professional who regularily instals dishes' would give me clear advice"...... but i am not sure. Any advice appreciated. Thanks, Dave |
