Trying to flashing a 4200i
Software Version: SB4200-0.4.9.6-SCM02-NOSH
Hardware Version: 1
MIB Version: II
GUI Version: 1.0
VxWorks Version: 5.3
in 192.168.100.1

Followed Haynes guide using hyperterminal
baud settings 38400
data bits 8
parity none
stop bits 1
flow control none
(using usb serial cable same settings as above in device manager on com1).

The problem is when i boot modem nothing happens in hyperterminal, checked connections all correct and get green light on max 232.
Also tried EtherBoot_1.5 nothing happen here also and tried 115200 baud.
Any ideas?

Anyone got a suggestion, I thought it might be bricked and need a blackcat, but would I still be able to access 192.168.100.1.
I have searched forum but cannot find a thread with a similar problem, and my rx tx v+ gnd are connected properly.

Was a problem with serial usb, so got computer with serial port and using usb lan.

Problem now is getting this error in hyperterminal
Error loading file: errno = 0xd0003.
i.p 192.168.100.10 in fireball

[05/09/2008 21:51:55] Boot Server Started

Is all that appears nothing else
Any ideas thanks.
