Default wHATS WRONG WITH MY MOTORISED SYSTEM???????

Put up motorised system consisting of 24inch Tand K 2" steel pole,a Manhatton motor which was given to me but has just come from a working motorised system an 80cm Iss dish and technomate 1600ci.

I ve put up pole and its dead true in every way.
Lined up satellite on 0.8 thor.
tweeked for best results.
It only finds sats by manually moving from remote, diseq misses majority or sats -or sends to wrong place until i manually move and save position, arc must be out due to sat signals not being as high as they should be but getting something on majority of sats although break up on many, the only thing i can think is motor elevation out, but where do i get this setting i have no booklet-motor came from about 30 miles away will this have a bearing on elevation or will it be the same
My postcode is DN16 2QZ

My sympathies.
I'm in the same boat, except,my ground mounted pole is not 100% plumb, hence no satellites.
Anyway, have a read of this guide,it includes the motor elevation settings/declination angle/dish bracket angle etc.
Get your Latitude/Longitude readings for your location from Multimap
This is the tech sheet for the Manhattan motor from the Manhattan website:http://www.manhattan-receivers.com/uploads/hh140alu.pdf

Do you mean you are using USALS rather than DISEqC

DISEqC requires manual setting up, where as USALS is automatic

Try setting up manually using DISEqC and let us know how your getting on.

Check on _www.lyngsat.com for frequencies that you can receive in this country

Forgot 7w, 4w, 11w, 30.5e 31.5e and 40e as you won't get them here with a dish of your size

I don't think 30 miles away would make that much difference, but anyway, the motor elevation should be set to 90-latitude, or if it is marked latitude, set it to your latitude.
