Default Scrambled or bad channels

Hiya

Forgive me if this question has already been answered, I did have a squizz but couldn'd find anything! Flashed starview 1 box with latest software etc last month which was fine but have some channels that are missing completely (random ones like ITV2!!) and others like channel 4 that come up with 'scrambled or bad channel'. I have checked the connections as I know that sometimes this affects it but all seems ok. Signal coming in is split though for broadband, not sure if this makes a difference?? Any ideas on how to get these working/back. Also missing some of our p*rn channels too. Any help gratefully received. Cheers folks.

Unsplit the connection. Do a factory reset and autoscan from the direct feed. After this has been completed you can split the connection again.

Thanks, I will try that. Think I may need some heavy duty tools as the v@rg@n engineer has done a good job of securing the leads etc!

Sorry, meant to ask, I have a channel list of my existing channels already saved which I edit etc on my computer. If I do a factory reset and autoscan to find more channels I am assuming I will lose this. Is there any way around this to keep my existing list and just add the new ones that I find etc?

You will find that you allready have the missing channels IE spts 3 CH4 etc but they are not named .You have to have the patience to try the numbered channels until you find what you want then rename in channel edit

I don't have any that are unamed, I have already been through and deleted/edited as appropriate so I will need to do a rescan, just don't want to have to redo my feckin channel list again if I do a factory reset as it takes ages!! Am concerned that if I do the resest, then download my existing channel list from my pc, I will overwrite all the new channels I have found. Any way around this anyone? Cheers.

Just do auto scan it will not affect your existing CH List .Dont do factory Reset. The channels you have deleted will be in Favs All Channels. then you have to find channels you want & rename in channel edit

You need to do a factory reset if TPs have changed, which I say is the case.

I have a starview and the box and for the past week or so the starview has had the bad or scrambled message on the "premium" channels whilst the box has been ok.
Got round to doing a full autoscan, supposedly found all the channels but when i selected, say sly sports, it still said bad or scrambled channel?
The starview box has the latest updating software on so can anyone shed some light on this?
Much appreciated thanks
