i know people who have cable bb and a normal wireless router that works fine with laptops but will it work the same with a PC to PC connection and if not what do i have to do , thanks guys!

All you will need to do is set up a wireless network though the router and your pc's will see each other.

Yeap, You will need a flash drive or memory stick to transfer initial settings between pc's. Other than that real easy
