hello all may seem like a silly question but cancelled my tv a while ago but i have managed to obtain bk and ird from my v+ boxes is ok for me to rewrite a funcard or rom11 and start using box again.ive read so much about having to cut talkback from boxes and not to use your own subbed box but the person that enlightened me to the wonderful world of free cable has done over 700 boxes of various models and has not cut talk back of any of these boxes and also has done many peoples subbed boxes where they only have the basic package and uprated their own rom11 cards to get all channels,and nobody has ever been caught,is it really that important that you cut talkback ? and is it ok if i do my v+ boxes and use them havent seen anything about talkback on v+ and if talkback is cut on it can i still use all the v+ features.

otherwise you are you are saying hello to vm

The boxes get blacklisted in a very short time , and your leaving yourself open to being caught, so there is no point.

get a 50db blocker and put that instream which effectively cuts talkback, but as ppl say its advisable to do it. You get lots for free so why be greedy

hi all,i have put a 50db on the v+ box and done a fun4,got all channels but no tv guide or menu page,could it be the card or could be the 50db,not used one of them before.

My guess.....you've got the TV SCART in the wrong output on the V+ box.
It's the other way round from Sammys or Paces.

Use the buttons on the stb it could be the remote.

to be brief and blunt the stb talks back to the cc every 2hrs max, when there it talks back it tell them what you are watching and if it is not on the channel package you have subbed to well say no more

they are implementing new proceedures as we speak so any one that has messed with there subbed stb, you will get caught you have been warned

he's been very lucky.
2 rules,
allways cut talkback
never mess with subbed boxes
