Default TT C-1501, the big FU!

So, anyone know how to really determine if my C-1501 is faulty?
When scanning for channels with MediaPortal using my own transponder (correctly created asaik) it doesn't find a signal.
So, i unplugged it from the cable, as its split from the main feed into the cable modem and the pc, and plugged it directly into the main feed, still no joy. Didn't think it would anyway as its worked for months off the splitter with no issues.
A software uninstall of SageTV and/or windows vista updates seems to have borked the card. I've uninstalled it numerous times, updated the drivers etc but still won't work.
I've changed pci slots, still no joy.
Mediaportal picks up the card fine and says its initialised, but still no signal.
TT Center recognised the card but gets the same 'no signal' response.

It worked fine about 3 weeks ago with dvbdream and progdvb, but since the updates (unless its a coincidence) its not worked.
I truly find it hard to believe that software updates has b0ll0xed it, especially since i've uninstalled/reinstalled/updated etc to hell and back.

This is one troublesome mofo of a card. Whats the next card up from this that people know to work with mediaportal etc?
I'm about ready to fire this german crap out the window!

Thanks for any advice offered.

Thanks dude, although i'm pretty darned sure that aint the case here. My transponder file for MediaPortal, is taken from an existing filein the MP setup. I just altered the numbers from telepest (6852?) to n*t (6887) and the relevent frequencies. Actually i copied and pasted the frequencies from my progdvb file which i think was created by someone on here, and always worked for me until the big card FU !

I'm gonna reformat with vista and image the drive once i've done some windows updates. THEN i'll try MP again and see what happens.
I've only had it 6 months max, gods knows where the receipt is!

Thought this thread had ran its course.
Actually after reformatting i managed to install MediaPortal and have got vplug2.3.7 successfully auto updating. So it was some deep system files i suppose that borked up the use of the 1501.

All is happy with the world, once again.
