Default Having Scan Fail Starview 3

Ok I found my cable coax feed inside the brown cable box outside my house.

I connected it to a coax cable with normal coax connectors-Is this wrong?

I flashed the box first with 8.00 then i turned the box off when it completed and took it downstairs and connected it to my tv put the cable IN and the scart in the bottom socket then scanned all providers nothing

Then reflashed with 7.09 with all providers nothing...

Anyone know what may be causing the scan fail?

I have searched and found scan from live feed but i havent found that option on my starview 3?

You need proper connectors and cable (the connectors and cable you used will work over a short run but obviously the signal strength and quality will be lower up to the point where it is useless)

Use the feed from cable box outside your house then direct to the tv and if its still live then you should pick up the normal channels, ie BBC1 etc., if you cant get these then you will have to get a package deal from your CC provider

But I can't get channels at all when I scan them. I have VM and I have original VBox working. But when I connect the Starview3 box, it only say "0 Program Found". This is so annoying. Can someone please help....

btw.. I have API ver: 8.00e_E
