Default powerscan

i want to perform a powerscan on my eurovox
do i need to do something before i perform the powerscan, i.e clear data etc

and is it recommended to perform a powerscan

If you are aware that you will lose or channel order etc. and you want to start afresh the best option is to do a factory default reset first.
you may want to save a channel data file first to have something to fall back on.

Menu / Config / Clear data/pin number. you get the choice to erase all channels or factory default

Choose Factory Default and (Set your symbolrate in the symbolrate option)

You will now get a screen showing Full Powerscan with symbolrate below it (also a red button for advanced install)

Pressing OK on this screen will do a full powerscan (red button goes to a screen for fast install)

depending on who your original cable supplier was determines the symbolrate to scan at, if you are in the UK it will be either 6887 0r 6952
