Problem with R4 card

HEY GUYS IVE DONE IT

well my r4 card would not work in my ds after long hard searching ive found the answer (just a little peice of paper) heres wat ive done and it works great read down till it says

the ds does not recognize my r4

no just the r4 card still looking for the m3 files lol

I have tried all of the above and still only get "loading" the box the r4 card came in has new and three ones on it like roman numerals, any one have any idea, grandchildren getting upset now as have for a week and can not use grrrrrr! I wonder if its a new type of r4 card

So if it's a new (2nd generation or clone) R4 try V1.21 on it. If it's an original try V1.18.
The root of your card - after putting the kernel on & before you put any games on - should then have 2 folders (moonshell &_system_) & 2 files (_DS_MENU.DAT & _DS_MSHL.NDS). Add your games, they have to be in *.NDS format. Hopefully should be ok then.
I guess there's a chance the R4 could be faulty but (& don't take this the wrong way) more likely it ain't set up properly YET.
Let us know how you get on, if still no good somebody here should be able to help.

hey guys i had the same problem but i easily sorted it what i done was you take your r4 card apart lift of the chip and where the gold prongs are put a small peice of paper under there put it all back together and HEY PRESTO it should work because all you are doing by putting a smallpiece of paper inside is making sure the prongs are touching the inside of your ds ..... hope this helps

hi - if you are still having problems with this let me know and i will tell you where to get the proper firmware to make this card work.

How to update R4 SDHC?
After downloading and decompressing the new updated files, there will be one moonshl folder and two files _DS_MENU.DAT, _DS_MSHL.NDS.Copy these files to the root directory of TF card to replace the former files

I bought 2 R4 cards from model gadget, i was stuck with the constant loading... too, it was only when i looked at the card properly and realized i had a compatibility problem with the card i had bought. i have 2 R4 SDHC cards and i was attempting to load the R4 DS software onto the SDHC card hence the problem. Once i went onto the R4 website and followed the instructions from the the R4 website my cards work well with a 4mb micro sd. Might be stating the obvious but it worked for me, good luck.
