i bought an r4 card for my girlfriend, it says on it r4ultra.

i tried several different versions of software to no avail, was still getting the 'Loading...' screen.

i came across this site (http://linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/) and dowloaded the latest r4ultra software (v1.54) onto the card and it worked straight away

there is software for all different kinds of r4's on there

hope this can help

Angry Re: Problem with R4 card

To be honest i think the design of the R4 card is flawed and very misleading , as its not a plug and play device its a very complicated programing device that can screw you up, as there are so many applications it feels like a needle in a haystack when looking for the kernol you need . First if this device is legal then the manufacturer needs a boot up the arse for selling a device that doesnt come with a simple install cd . Thats my opinion

I have tried blowing in the slot. They are both DS Console, though I have just realised that the DS that works with the R4 Card is Americain/Canada and the DS that the card does not work in is European/English. Will this make a difference?

Hi,

It should not make any difference that your DS is not the same region as the R4.

Thanks

Hi my son turned on his Ds this morning ( not ds lite, metal cased one), and when he turned it on to play his R4 card, he got the following message
LOADING.....
system date error! Please check NDS system date

Took out , put in , blew it, put back in , said no card in ds ? Put another game in( not r4), loaded and played.

Put R4 back in , gave me ....
LOADING.....
system date error! Please check NDS system date
& still is.

I was talking to a friend who has a ds lite and also a r4 card.
Saying i should of brought the game to see if my DS was faulty or the R4.

She tried her R4 card and got....

LOADING.....
system date error! Please check NDS system date
Put an non r4 card game in and heyt presto it works

Now has anyone else had this problem ?
Seems uncanny that two completely different R4 cards, will not load onto two completely different DS's

They were both working fine yesterday. My sons card is only 4 months old

Any ideas, or have Nintendo put a block on things ?

cheers R4muvva

Hi i have come across the same problem if you change your nintendo ds date to the daybefore your r4 will work for example mine wouldnt work on 14-4-2010 so i changed it to 13-4-2010 and it worked but when i changed it back it wouldnt work again so i changed it to 14-4-2009 until i find a proper solution to the problem hope it works for you.
