Problem with R4 card

Hi, I really hope somebody can help. I recently bought an R4 card for my daughters Ds Lite with a 4gb micro sd card & card reader. I had already downloaded some ds games from torrent sites. From reading some of these threads i thought it was just a case of drag & drop the nds files onto the card, but this just gave me the message 'Loading' when i turn on the ds. Then i read that i need to copy the firmware onto the card. I had a cd with the R4, so i've copied the files that it says in one of these threads, eg., system folder, moonshl folder,DS_MHSL.NDS & DS_MENU to the micro sd card & then dragged the nds game files in & it still gives me the message 'Loading' on the ds screen when i switch on & nothing else happens. My daughters are getting very impatient !!

The R4 only works with mem cards up to 2G, its probably not recognising your 4G micro SD card.

Hi mate the guy above hit it on the head the r4 will only work with 2Gb card. get a 2Gb all should be fine. I know it say on some of the retailer site that they work with a 4Gb card but they play up only the latest R4 i think they are called edge can use the bigger card.

Ok, now i'm really confused. I bought a 2gb card, loaded the software that came with the R4 card & dragged a couple of games on & still all i get is a message on the screen of the DS saying 'Loading....'& nothing happens.

hi are the games you downloaded roms. also if you pm an email address i will send you a working game to try off my daughters nds. just incase the downloads you have are faulty.

You need to install the latest V1.21 software, all should be well after that inc reading your 4 gig card.

did you buy it from digizo, i bought 2 from them last week stuck on loading screen

hi ive got the same problem im using a 1g stick with all the files my games are in a games folder but wen i turn on my daughters ds lite nothing happens i dont even get a loading screen just the white screen like normal come on 666 you have helped me out b4 your the best plus it will stop my 7 year old from crying aghhhhhhh HELP

I set one up for my mate, he'd bought it from digizo. Basically copied the contents of my son's R4 but also stuck on loading screen. Cut a long story short the only firmware I could get to work was V1.20, think digizo's R4 is a 2nd generation, whatever that means.
