on demand on modded box with tb disabled

got a mate who has this and gets all on demand does something to inside of box and no charges on his bill for OD on his modded box, anyone know how to do this trying to find out , would be a good feature. thanks

M8 AFAIK he must have reconnected Talkback as if the box was modded and talkback cut then he would definately not get OD. If he has done that then he may not be getting bill but some poor bugger is and when that person complains vermin will come sniffing. NOT A GOOD THING TO HAVE TALKBACK CONNECTED as has been said many times, especially if he is not paying anything.

Just out of curiousity, if someone is using a moded box with tb connected, how long is it likely to be until they get caught...??

I said tb was NOT connected and it isnt theres wires from the atels or something it works and tb is DISABLED

on demand channels are streamed form vi*&ns servers as with any connection of this type a signal has to be sent to request whatever is to be streamed. if the box is sending this message then talkback is on there is no other way of receiving this content other than dreambox's ect but all the do is recieve strams other people have ordered.

on demand works as i have said so he must be wrong. vm have to receive a signal befor they will broadcast on demand to a proper cable box except dreambox's and such.

Wires running from atmels wouldnt give you filmflex ! sounds like a wind up to me.
The stb has to show a valid mac address to recieve interactive, thats how the last registered owner gets billed, and as rawsy said you need upstream feedback connected, as it needs your input to actually select the film etc you want to watch.

wires running from pin 11 of the atmel to the battery is a non update mod for the stb, the stb will be on old software and he just hasnt cut tb simple as, have a look in the eng menu return path on or off

well i was a running a box up untill about a year ago for a few years with tb connected(I never knew). I only discovered when i started reading this forum ,so i checked settings & the fookin thing was on the whole time. I checked a few of the mates boxes & they were the same(Had tb connected) though all are boxes were done by different people(Fookers to lazy to cut tb). Anyway its all sorted now & tb is long cut.
