Default Satellite in Switzerland

Hi - hope someone can help. I live in Switzerland and want to receive broadcasts from both Hotbird and Astra 2. I have both a Humax FTA receiver and Digibox. We have a 90cm dish mounted on a balcony stand with a clear view to the south. The local TV firm came out and spent ages trying to set it up with dual LNBs and a bracket with little success - we could get Hotbird but nothing on Sky. I finally realised that they'd set it up for Hotbird and Astra 1 at 19 deg E! The biggest offset bracket I can find here in Switzerland is 6 degrees, whereas the difference I need is 15 degrees. Is it possible to find such a bracket, and if so is it possible to get a decent picture on both?

All suggestions most gratefully received.

Hi,
Your weakest satellite is probably Astra 2D on 28E, so you may struggle a little to get it working. You will have to experiment to see what works best.

In the UK, putting 19E at the focus is common, with 13E and 28E either side. This works OK because 28E is VERY strong.

In your location, you may want to bias it towards 28E more, maybe focus on 23.5E and see how you get on with that. If you can 28E OK with that setup, Hotbird shouldn't be a problem.

Triax do a bracket for their dishes, Lemon also do one, looking at it, it appears that it may fit other dishes too.

I can reccomend the Triax Bracket, if you can get it to fit your dish, as getting it setup is a doddle.
