Kaon HD Receiver & Digitalb Problem ?

I have recently purchased a HD Kaon STB with Full Package Sport , Films etc direct from a friend in Albania, I also have a TM 1500 Ci Super with TD88 (95cm) dish and Darkman Motor with Usuals set up, so left satellite pointing at 16East and set it to work as with TM on Usuals , no card does not open on TM as i had hoped and i did want give Kaon HD Receiver to my cousin as he has HD Tv which i don`t but i was told that this new HD Kaon receiver will only work with card and visa versa is this correct, because i have left on overnight with Kaon receiver and on Digi + Channel and nothing opens Please advise what I should do and how long should the card take to clear ??

The DigitAlb card should work in both receivers, for the standard channels.
DigitAlb have paired the card to the official receiver for the HD channels but all other channels open in most receivers, and cams.

Make sure you have the DigitAlb channels scanned in correctly, you can check the information here:

Here is some information from princecharles regarding the card update process:

As we are at the end of the month, and there are always some problems somewhere with the updating of cards, I thought it might be useful to summarise as follows:

When you go to bed tonight (or out to work, if you work shifts) leave your receiver on with the DigitAlb card in the card slot or cam -

For Supersports cards on Supersport 1,

For all other cards on Digi+ channel.

The card will usually have updated by morning, although sometimes the updates are a few days late, so keep repeating the process if necessary - you can check if the upgrade has happened by going to the card menu and to Subscription Status, which will read "Start date 01 July 08, End date 31 July 08" followed by a long number!

If by any mischance the card fails to upgrade, there is no need to panic - just contact the supplier, who will arrange for the upgrade signal to be sent again.

I have left on Digi + channels over night and still nothing just message saying (no acess) grrr.

Thing is it wont even change over to free channels something not right any advise would be most welcome ?????

Try again leaving it tonight then you will have to contact your supplier, or get your friend in Albania, to contact them and request that the signal be sent again.
He will need to know the cards serial number, or identity number.

does the card work in your tm1500 as it should work for the non hd channels if the card has been activated

have you put the card and looked in the card menu on the technomate receiver to see what the card is showing as you can lookup the subscription dates on activated cards

if it says something like preview, then the card has not been activated

thats a new one on me, never seen that my card just updates the subscription dates each month

maybe your friend in albania needs the receiver serial number to get the card working in your receiver ?

Hi Robbo,

the latest on my Kaon receiver and digitalb sport and film card, well receiver now opening fta channels but digitalb still not opening, but i know why it was`nt opening before cause i did not have what you had on your event status, but contacted friend in albania and they to the retailer/prrovider and now i have an event status ie 08 sept 08 start and 08 sept 09, but still nothing opening as yet was told it was activated 7.00pm 08 sept have now as i write to you left on Digi + and will do until morning but nothing as of yet, grrrrrrrr.

Any other advice ?

guess what ?

it opens on my tm1500ci super but not on HD Kaon box very strange and another thing am dissapointed to say bought as sport and film card only films open and no disccory channels grrr.

what next ?
