The Samsung SGH-X640 is a nice little phone with both wireless access for mobile computing, and also is tri-band.
Actually, one of the biggest selling features for it was the fact that it's a sort of flat-egg shape, and flips open to reveal the buttons inside. This was really important for me, as my previous mobile had all the buttons exposed, so if I left it on in my pocket - as I needed to do for clients to contact me - I'd inadvertently end up calling whatever numbers any slight knocks would randomly input into it. ![]() That problems solved, and I have no real problems with the phone. About the only gripe is that the built-in camera has a pretty poor pixel resolution, so although you can take pictures, they are pretty grainy. This is a shame as sometimes when I'm out you see an opportunity picture that you can only really take fast enough with your phone - especially if you didn't feel like lugging a camera with you - but you have to put up with the images being relatively poor quality. Aside from that, a decent enough mobile phone, though maybe I'll change my mind once I get a bit more ambitious about my requirements.
