Default New beginning

Hi,
My current set up is with Virgin Media's VIP package, we hardly use the package to its full and are looking to downgrade / save some money. We will be keeping the 20mb broadband service with Virgin, the rest is going

We are not too bothered about any movie channels or sports channels. HD content would be nice, but not essential.
The ability to record 2 programs while watching a 3rd would be great (as per Virgin). The Freesat looks a good option, we would greatly appreciate your opinion / suggestions.

Thanks

Freesat PVR's will not be available until the end of the year - so dont cancel the VM just yet!

Often Virgin will give you a better deal if you threaten to cancel, might be able to save a few bob, on the other hand they might actually let you cancel.

For satellite, I currently use two FTA type satellite receivers, one of them is HD and with a HDD, the other is conected to a HDD recorder, so I can record two channels at once, but can't watch a 3rd, but I have DTT or cable for that.

I pay £30 to VM with 2M broadband, Large TV and basic phone, it does the job, and is cheap.
