First check your connections, then try your receiver on somebody elses dish, a neighbour, friend or member of your family, this will tell you instantly if the problem is your receiver or not.
If your receiver is fine then it is either the LNB, the cable or the dish. Have a look at your dish and check if it looks as if it has moved. More than likely it's water ingress damage, considering all the rain we've had, and you will have to replace the LNB, cable, or both. |

Hi,
How do you know the box is fine? Have you tried it on someone elses dish? If the box is OK as you say, then the solution is to check the remaining items, dish alignment, LNB and cable. Check the alignment first as it will cost you nothing, then check the cable ends to make sure that the connectors are on properly, that there are no shorts, that enough of the centra core is sticking out, and that water ingress has not occurred. Also Sky dish LNBs can be picked very cheaply on ebay, likewise decent cable eg wf100 or pf100 can normally be bought by the metre (50p) with connectors already on if you need it.

Oh, and also check that a tree has not sprung up and is blocking the view of the satellite.
