Help Please !!Pace DI4000-T on Pure NTL

Hi Guys I'm relatively new to this forum and have read all reluvant info for modding.

The problem is That I have two PACE DI4000-T TW vm box Both of these boxes were in TW Docis area (40975) which I successfully done however, I have taken one of the boxes to pure N*L area Northamton (00018) which I believe is a Davic area and have successfully altered the NETid with FUN 4, but keep getting TW logo and message 'Downloading Please wait' it just sits there doing nothing.

From what I understand you can get this box to work in this area, but is there somthing else that I shld be doing? what files shld I be using ? etc.

I'm Using Ngaraedit, Toxic/RipHex, SwapbinHex, Infinity Ultimate

Could someone pls list the proceedure I shld be using to get this to work.

to get a 4000 tw to work in ntl is a problem. Far as i know you have to lift chips but this may not be the case. DID the boxes ever have the new epg? on it from virgin?

Best way would be get a box that works, and get the working macro of it and re flash ur box u want to do

Hi I'm not entirely sure boxes have been workin on virgin in TW and I have followed documentation on forum and dumped new N*L image but what do you mean get a working macro? Is this something that I can get from the existing box in TW area and place on This box ? If so How can I do this?

a ntl image on a card is nothing to do with a macro

the macro is like the software for the box

so you have box "A" that works and is legal
you jtag this use ocd commander and you pull the macro of it........ this btw will have id and pin number stored

u then get box "B" that is the one u want to do... same make/model ect
you jtag this, send the macro to it and you have cloned one box lol to another...

then you make up fun card with the bk ird for box "B" and done

if the box has not been online since feb 2007 it will have old ntl / tw epg (menus) and will need updating

Hi Seamouse I have downloaded OCD commander but have no idea how to use this correctly !! I have a POGO Jtag which I Have Used with BKE2.2 and am familiar with using. Can you explain how to use OCD with correct settings or parhaps point me in the direction of the correct but basic Tutorials.

this guide was not done by me:

use these settings in flash programmer to make a working dump

Flash = Intel 28F640J3. Starts at : 0x21100000 : endian changed is ticked : width 16 bits : X 1 chip(s)
CPU = ARM940T
Program = target RAM starts at : 0x00000000

press upload flash : select a target folder and name for s19 : Start upload at = 0x21100000 : End upload at = 0x2111FFFF

remember to turn off things like screen savers, DO not use pc OR move MOUSE this will stop ocd

go into configuration, prefix hex numbers with 0x

i cant find the full guide but i know i had issules above and had too

make the Flash tab to AMIC A29002B/A29021B


hope so of that helps as i think the guide is on a OLD harddrive

Hi The Platform For The All The Pace 4000 Boxes Is Held In The Surface Mount Chip Next To The Flash Chip At Front Of Board (Toshiba Or Samsung Chip With Middle Pins Missing)..I Have In The Past Taken A DAVIC 4000 box And Flashed This Chip With CW Platform And It Worked On DOCSIS No Problem.In Fact It Became A True Docsis Box With Correct Menus And Engineers Menu.Im Assuming This Could Be Done The Other Way Round For Your 4000T To Go Into Davic NTL Pure.The TSOP Adaptor For The Chip Was Quite Expensive So For A "One Off" Conversion Would Hardly Be Worth it.Best Hunt Around For A Samsung.Will Run Like A Train In Davic Area.Most Reliable Box Out There.

Hi I am having difficulties trying to understand OCD, whilst I am able to get it to see the jtag and connect to box, I can't get my head around default settings and uploading macro information. I am using OCD commander v 2.56 and have noticed that BKE v2.2 also has a OCD operation which should I use to upload macro !!!

I Known it must be straight forward !!

Hi Guys I'm back after a few days break !!!

THanks for all your help so far, After much reading I have manged to create a macro image from a working box with OCD and Jtag.

However the file is in a .s19 file type and I need to convert it into a .mac file typle so that I can use OCD to down load to new box.

Documentation I have read suggest that I use a program called Macmaker V3 but I cannot find his anywhere.

Is there another program that does this?

Can someone please help
