Cas Programmer

I am thinking of buying a Cas Interface 3 and a Diablo light 2.3. If i but the Cas 3 interface, what exactly will i need it for? i mean, am i right in saying initially i would have to program the CAM using the cas?, but then why would i need the Cas 3 after this?

Also, if the codes change and i can no longer view some packages on the CAM, then what? have those channels gone forever and the CAM will be useless? or may those codes be available on the internet and the Cas then enable me to renew those codes onto the CAM?

You require the Cas 3 to load the underworld software onto the cam, otherwise you will not open any channels.
At the moment the Diablo 2.3 will open the following main packages:
Premiere 19E
DigitAlb 16E
Polsat 13E
Digi TV 1W
Canal Digital 1W
We know Premiere will be upgrading their encryption soon and will no longer be available, as for the others no one can answer how long they will stay open.
The Cas 3 is a good investment as it can program cards and cams, so should be useful for some time.

New underworld files are currently released every week, or two weeks, with updated keys for Canal Digital and DigitAlb, without the Cas programmer you wont be able to update the software.
Also you need the Cas 3 to update the keys.bin file, for any extra channels available.
No one can tell you what channels will be available, or not available, in the future, it's impossible to predict these things.

one more thing, if keys stop working eg on digitalb, how long does it take for the new keys to be available on the internet? i mean say one package stops working just before a match, will there be codes available on the internet straight away or will it take time for the new files to be available?how long about? Or are the new keys available online before the codes change?

The new files are usually released a day or two prior to the key changes, on the odd occasions we have had black screens a new file is released within a day.
