Still trying to get started on ambit 250 infinate.All advice good so far but still confused.
Using 250 config(or should i say attempting)to get on line.This modded modem is to be used on same pc where my original subbed box ran.
Checked TFTP addy and changed mac on 250 config but still no joy.!!!!!!!!!!!
Reading thro' other threads have now made me start wondering should i also have to change mac on network card!
What is this?
Is it necessary?
How do i go about changing it and to what?
And could this be the reason can't get on line or just another red herring.Please help.
Its like the more i read the less i really understand.

on each modem i put on computer, i always change my nic card..you can try smac, or if you got another network card you can use that

Using lap top dont know where netcard is -sorry.
So will use SMAC when i can get passed 1st problem HOW TO GET ONLINE?

Still trying to get thro on 250 config.Enter all details then:-When i press "write settings" Status in L/H corner says "Off-line settings updated -rebooting Modem"
Whats this mean??

Do i have to use SMAC before using 250 config???????????
Help.Someone please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
