Hi All
Am a complete newbie and any help would be much appreciated. have had virgin set top box with broadband internet running through it for about 3 years.Recently my girlfriend bought herself a laptop and wants to connect to the internet..so bought a wireless router but am at a loss as to what to do ( where to connect it,with what cables ect)..and do i need a modem? thanks in advance mark Last edited by mryan30; 10-09-08 at 08:54 PM. you take out the ethernet lead from your pc and conect it to wireless router you have to insert a wireless card to pc DRAFT N 300M PCI CARD WIRELESS WIFI LAN NETWORK ADAPTOR on eBay, also Wireless WiFi, PCMCIA Cards, Laptop Accessories, Computing (end time 11-Sep-08 07:32:51 BST)
if your laptop isnt already wireless then you need to buy a card for that and insert LINKSYS WIRELESS-G MIMO WIFI PCMCIA LAPTOP CARD SRX UK on eBay, also Wireless WiFi, PCMCIA Cards, Laptop Accessories, Computing (end time 11-Sep-08 00:10:30 BST) then run the setup disk that comes with router |
