Sorry if this is a very daft question as im not to familiar with the modems.

right im trying to help a friend get there flashed modem on the go,their internet/broadband has been cut of,though they still get digital tv(Modded) coming in. They need to sniff out some macs to swap. Is there a way to sniff for macs in this situation?

it is done mate , it came preflashed from flebay but i need a mac for it.

can you run mac snifer prg at the location you are using now?

cheers stev , yes im just a few doors away. I was going to sniff for macs from my home & they could have swapped them. One problem though,my network at home is always to busy so disconnecting routers ect is a no go area. i tried scanning the way it is but it never produced any results.

by the way what program do you recommend?

dhcp sniffer but need to run without firewall or routers in line

this is a config file name?
I thought each mac had its own config name,does this one work with any mac?
