Just tried to input spoofed mac hit "update Mac"
message said:-
SMAC 2.0 will only allow you to change address to
OC-OC-OC-OC-OC-01

Whats going on folks-how do you update a mac????????????????

PS. Tried this with a modded modem not yet on-line as such
Do you have to get through 250 config 1st (ambit 255)?

it means that will be your mac, you will have to get a cracked smac if you wont to add more macs,,just use that 1 m8

Dont think i've grasped the concept of this yet,sorry.

I thought to spoof Mac was to input same mac as you would on 250 config (a working mac from neighbouring UBR) and change maybe last two digits?

that will be your net work card mac..not the mac on the 250,, thats why you should spoof, when you registerd with nthell they would have info on your network card,thats why you should get a new 1 or spoof. The mac on your modems have nothing to do with smac..
A CRACK VERSION OF SMAC means you can put anynumbers you like onto your network card

Thanks 666.A little clearer now although i have never had a physical network card put in my laptop or supplied by my previous cable provider VM.
Or is this network card just an identity thing given to you on your IP No????????????????????

So although i still pay for a subbed modem (VM ex telepest)which has been run on this pc i dont have to spoof mac?
