help needed asap

Right was trying 2 get the p option back on my ambit 250 and when i was using the softjtag and i clicked write boot loader selected the fw and i got an error and it closed so...

i rebooted modem and no lights come on just the power and ethernet (Cause i still had the ethernet wire in)

is there any way 2 fix this or is the modem totaly dead?

i tried getting softjtag 2 find it but i dont seem 2 be having any luck and also tried using console unlockers again but that wont worth nither

OOps! You bricked It!

Don't worry! you can fix it just reflash with blackcat jtag!
You have made your bootloader corrupt so the modem cant boot!
You should get away with flashing just the bootloader back on the modem!
to do this connect the blackcat cable to the headers on the modems PCB
make sure the modem is off when doing this.
Once the header is connected turn on the modem and open the blackcat software. you should see the modems chip number if its detected if it says cannot find blah blah blah then try the cable the other way round on the header. once the chip is detected go to Flash then click Detect.
You should see the Flash in the box underneath.

Now go to Sb5100 Tag and select install new bootloader.

in the box that pops up select your botloader the one that coms with softjtag should do

Now click flash! It will now flash your new bootloader and /p should be enabled!

So, does any one have a link 2 the program i need? and does it have 2 be a blackcat cable? can i not use max232 via serial? and whats the difference with the blackcats cable and max232 / serial? Thanks, r0n.

232/233, ethernet cable, exploit and softjtag is all thats needed, it's all about getting your timing right when doing this.

dont think so lads but if it works please put me wrong if you brick it during a flash of the bootloader during softjtag and lights go off then tsop removal and williams or new tsop is needed please let me know as this is curious..
i had the same error happen to me and only solution i found was new tsop with preflashed bootloader..

Sorry to mislead you. i was thinking you had a 200
you cant use blackcat on the ambit 250/255
you need to reflash the TSOP with a William programmer.
This ain't for the faint hearted.

You mite be able to get around doing this if the modem is still booting the console software. just try using the new 250/255 hack.

If all you are getting is a message with the chipset type and a number in console. then i don't know of any other way except chip removal flashing/replacement!

I know of a guy that will sort it for you.
