Hi All,

Ive been looking at some items on ebay and am after a little more info.

The patched systems seem to indicate that it clears channels for sat 3pm football (I had digitalb whihc no longers shows it).

I am basically asking

how long these receivers last

Do I need to keep installing software or will this happen automatically

If this happens auto does the system need to be connected to the internet ?

If I need to install any software can I put the software onto a usb stick and simply plug this into the receiver ?

Some advise on the easiest way to work with a patched receiver would be a great help

The patch will open the 1W package with the sport. Theres no guarantee how long it will stay open - it could disappear tomorrow it could go in a month or it could last 6 months.

You pays your money and you tales your chances with patches.

If you want guaranteed 3pm football you buy a subscription to one of the foreign services - which AINT cheap!

He could also be refering to the sport on Premiere on 19.2e

According to various reports round the forums Premiere isnt showing UK 3pm kickoffs until the German league goes onto its winter break in December.

First of all, dlinkla, what receiver were you using when you had Digitalb?

By the way A/S there are reports of 3PM football listings for tomorrow on Premiere and some other providers.

Not having the faintest interest in a bunch of overpaid prima donnas prancing around on an over manicured cabbage patch I dont take much interest in who shows what - I just report what others say on the forums.

However there certainly wasnt much 3pm footy easily available in the last couple of weeks - theres a survey being carried out over on the sats forum and it makes grim reading for uk 3pm footy fans.

3pms's are available, but on channels that are expensive to buy in the UK. (Sky Italia, Bulsatcom etc)

Spoilt for choice for 3pm games today - Newcastle/Hull or Blackburn/Arsenal.

Correct that absolutely no choice - up the Gooners!!!

Google "liveonsat" to see what's available.

As someone rightly said "you pay's your money. . ."

We do live in worrying times with a certain Aussie buying stakes in a German Sat co.
