Thumbs down Dead SB5101

Hi all i have a sb5101 thats seems to be dead.
I have tried using the rs232 but when i turn the modem on all i get is the broadcom chip number with some text.

I don't know if my blackcat port on the modem is nakered
I just cant get the blackcat software to detect the modem.
i soldered the headers myself so i could have nakered it.

Is their any other way to flash the modem without blcackcat?
