hi all, i recently recomended a humax foxsat to my parents but the picture quality is very poor, it was using the same mini dish as their sky box ( which has a good quality picture) so i said u need a bigger dish, so they got a zone 2 sky dish. Problem solved i thought, no still crap picture on humax great on the sky box. Ive checked the connections, its not a long run of cable, the quality indicator is showing 100%. So at the the mo they have spent over £200 on kit and they dont watch it, and i feel a bit of a arse cos i said its a great box, free HD and all that. i brought the box to my home and connected it to my sky dish and 1m dish and all seemed good, so its not the box. Could it be the HDMI cable? ive run out of ideas, anyone got any suggestions?

In what way is the picture poor. How was the Sky receiver connected to the TV ? The Humax is an HD receiver - what output settings are selected for the HDMI signal ? Are those the optimal settings for the HDMI-in on that TV ?

the picture breaks up (Pixelated), the sky receiver is connected to a standard crt tv downstairs via scart, the humax is connected to a 42" tosh lcd via the HDMI cable which came with the receiver upstairs . i connected the humax up down stairs via scart and the picture was still the same. Havent looked at HDMI settings.
