ok all installed, encrypted channels showed "channel scrambled" but installed latest floppydtv drivers and only tv pack drivers from the latest beta drivers and all channels cleared. scanning took about 20mins, found 330 channels, no duplicates all named and all boxes already checked by vistamce.....sorting looks different having to number the prog instead of move....u can create different playlists, looks interesting.....seems a little quicker, more responsive when loading dvd covers and generally flicking between music, films tv etc....but that may be my imagination.

epg has only populated for 2 days at the moment, i'll keep an eye on that..but all channels working including s*y movies sd1 and 2 and true movies, couldn't find those channels b4 tv pack installed, all channels i use have epg as far as i can see

so far so good.....now to sort / renumber the channels, i'll try a 2nd card then.....wintv nova dvb-t and see what happens

cheers

I had the two day limit thing - thought it was a problem at MS's end as a few people (with other cards) mentioned it. I fiddled a bit, re-did the tuner setup as suggested on TGB, but that didn't seem to work, but somehow I do now have more than 2 days.

By default TV Pack uses the "in stream" EPG data, apparentl, and you have to change it to the online/downloaded guide. I'm not entirely sure how you do this, if you go into Edit Listings it doesn't actually tell you which is the downloaded guide/in stream EPG.

Channel sorting is better, but one thing I found a pain was, when you change a channel and then go "Previous" it goes to the channel that is one less than the new channel number, not the old one.

Mine seemed faster originally with the TV Pack, but now seems a bit slower - might be the extra guide data.

Exactly what FDTV drivers did you install? BDA or MCE? I was dismayed that they've not released new FDTV-C drivers, and I just installed the MCE current non-beta release - but you've done something else?

I couldn't stop playing with BBCi and Teletext when I first got it

i installed the latest mce drivers and in the beta pack there were drivers for the tv pack so i installed them....the previous channel works ok for me but i've always just pressed the ok button on the mce remote to zap back.....not too bothered about the epg rarely go beyond a day or 2, info is not as detailed as RT XMLTV though, ....pleased all transponders are found...

tv pack driver i used

h**p://www.digital-everywhere.com/en/alcms/index.php?sid=1191676151

thought these were for the satellite only but not sure......

tried 2 cards yet?

Yep - I thought they were DVB-S only as well, that's why I didn't bother with them.

I have two FDTV-C's, they work well, I can't get the DVB-T card to work at the same time because of the two tuner type limitation (FDTV- drivers still pretend to be DVB-T and you can't have more than two at any one time. Not seen a hack yet. I did get a DVB-T and one FDTV-C working WITH an analogue tuner all at the same time. I naively thought that the FDTV's would be seen as DVB-C's not DVB-T's.

The previous channel thing I meant was when you're in Edit Channels, not when zapping, zapping works fine.

Clean install fixed your encrypted channels thing then.
