Default 2 LNBs on a Zone 2

I have a twin tuner PVR so I am using shotgun cable. The quad LNB is picking up Astra 2 and the single LNB is picking up Astra 1. One of the shotgun cables goes direct from one of the quad outputs to one of my tuners. The other shotgun cables goes from a 2-way Disecq switch to the other tuner with inputs from one of the other quad outputs and the single LNB.

The single LNB is attached to the quad with part of an old multi-LNB holder. It is held on to the quad by a U-bolt.

I realise it’s probably not the prettiest installation in the world but it works a treat!

Impressed with that set up,have a zone 2 dish myself,may try it out myself,but i am a bit further north

Robbo - thanks for that.

Jasper - go for it! If you like a bit of a challenge then it's fun and satisfying when you're successful. Two things surprised me. Firstly, how close the two LNBs had to be and, secondly, how strong the Astra 1 signal is. Sky news, for example, comes in with a higher signal strength on Astra1 than Astra 2. Also, I use a portable TV to help set the satellite up. I reckon it's more accurate.
