Default humax foxsat hd freesat

hi guys was looking for a bit of help im am looking at getting the humax hd freesat box iv been told it has a non freesat function is this fta sat and can it be flashed to get a few more channels if i put up a moterised dish

Yes it has a Non-Freesat mode,in which you can scan for all the fta and encrypted channels of a particular satellite(s).
No,to the second question.
If you are going to use a motorised dish,then set this up first,as the Humax Foxsat,deletes all the channels,when you change from a fixed dish to a motorised dish setup.

Mine didn't. I know various people have reported channels being deleted on the Alba group of Freesat receivers when affecting certain changes or updates (though these boxes don't support DiSEqC or USALS, so we're not really talking about the same thing here), but I've never had any problems with the Foxsat - all the services scanned in on 28.2E in non-Freesat mode remained in place (as did the services in Freesat mode) when I switched to my motorised dish.

Having said all that, however, it's probably a reasonable precaution to set up the motorised dish first (but I didn't do it, though!).
