Just got a 255 modem

Hay can any one help me out my mom just gave me her old cable modem its a 255 model. And I would like to know if theres anything I can do with it as in hack / flash it. If so is it a easy job ? And on a side note I dont have cable right now but looking to get it turned back on with in the next mth. So any info would be good thanks for looking and taking time out to get back to me

m8 u need to get hold of Hayes Mannual everything u need is in there.

its ( Hayes Mannual) in the Downloads section.

PS: u can flash it and its easy as long as u have the P option, but then u wouldnt know what the P option is all about unitil u read the Hayes Manual

hi m8 firstly if you need to do anything with this modem you will need what is called a max232 connector its a circuit with a connector that connects to your pc and modem to enable flash files to be added to the modem.. cost about 12 quid

then you need hyperterminal app and ethernet cable..
if the modem doesent have 1 2 p option you can use the console hack app i posted to put p option back on then flash modem with firmware of your choice i prefer infinate fimrware but peeps are trying harvoware up to you really..

Thanks for the input m8 and I think i found the guy on ebay so ill place my order there then.
On a side note do you think I would save money in the long run getting the
Modem max so i could get othere modem's to add to my pc to get faster speed or just stick with the max 323 for now till i no what i am doing lmao
