Guys I am brand new to all this and really dont understand all the "Jargon" yet...
But I have just bought a Starview 4, super USB...
I downloaded the necessary files and I seem to have all the channels now but I can only get Sound from the Free to Air ones..

Can anyone help me here and explain to me easily why this is happening and how I can fix it...

Hi and welcome to Techwatch
don't know if its the same on SV4 but in Menu/user setup check that the modulator is set to PAL1

Make sure your scart is pushed fully home and also the live cable feed is tight

Hi

I am new to all of this...

I have gone through all the process of setting up for Starview 4, but after 5 mins, I lose all the channels that are not free to air...the screen goes black. I am with virgin and have loaded the EX C&W. I have gone to the secret menu 1570 and turned the key code to 'on'. I have noticed a $ sign on all the channels I cannot access.

Also when using the Starview 4 remote, when pressing the channel 'UP' or 'down', it is automatically changing the volume on my TV and vice versa, when using the volume button on my TV, it changes the channel on the box.

PLEASE HELP!!!

hi im having the same trouble as you its annoying i reckon its firmware issue hope new one comes out soon

hi there im wondering what difference does it make if u use the starview box on virgin media?

do u get more channels or somethin?

i have no idea.

if you use a starview or many other boxes with the right firmware on them you will get 99% of channels broadcasted
but please note it is ILLEGAL to connect the cable supply to these boxes

extract the files from the .rar file and put the 2 .bin files on the stick
