Default Anyway of testing blackcat?

Hi all
i have a 5101e and i am trying to get flash it using blackcat
cant use rs232 because console wont boot!
For some reason the blackcat software just wont detect the modem.

Is their anyway to test the headers of the modem to test them?
also for the cable itself?

Thanks in Advance

hi m8 yes there is a app to test your 232 circuit connector to make sure it is working..
also just to clarify what lights are on on the modem any on constant or does it appear to be scanning ect please state..
most problems are bad connection of pin header ..pin header on wrong side of board ect..if i find the app to test 232 i will post it on here l8 on and keep trying youll get there and good luck m8

Thanks m8 its not for max232
Its for the blackcat jtag
The problem is with 232 all i am getting is a message with the broadcom chip model and a number.
so i need to reflash.
Looks like the internal console cant load so its a blackcat job.
i have a jtag cable but the blackcat software just wont detect the modem.
so i would lilke to know if their is a way to test the blackcat pcd headers.
and the lead maybe with a Multi meter or something?
