Default Help with Chipped Virgin box

I finally decided to give in and buy a chipped virgin cable box the other day, but im entirely new to the whole thing and need a little help on some stuff.

Like whats talkback exactly? How do i know if my box has it? Is it good to have it or not good?

I can currently browse on demand on it, but i haven't tried anything as of yet. will i get charged for this stuff even though i have a chipped box?

What is a 50db filter? and if i use it then order stuff on demand can it be traced virgin?

Probably most importantly can i get Sky Box Office Live Events on my chipped box?

I am completely new to this thing and any help on any of these topics would be a great help.
Cheers

you are always wise to cut talk back if you are currently getting on demand then talk back is not disabled you will only get live events with t/b enabled
but you will get all the rest of the channels when it is disabled sky sports sky movies etc

talkback is whaty it says, the box talksback to cc
cutting talkback stops the box sending info to cc so the box can't be seen.
doing it depens on box or use cable filter.
hope that helps.
