Default system upgrade

im not sure if this is in the right thread but a Mod can relocate it if necessary

im in Ireland
I have 2day bought the Lidl system, whch is for free to air channels
it includes a receiver /80cm satellite,i have yet to set it up!

but im really interested in this kinda thing,I dont know much but have been browzin different fourems,so i have picked up a few thing along the way

what im thinking is buying a motor for the satellite,to pick up many satellites
Can some1 suggest a good motor for me?

plus im not satisfied with free to air,im only using this for a while to get used to recievers/satellites

can some1 suggest a good(and easy to use) reciever, that will decode(with the help of cardsharing)any or all of the following, Sky sports, Eurosport, Setanta Sport?

plus is a 80cm satellite good enough to get Sky sports, Eurosport, Setanta Sport,

can someone help please!

For Sky sports and Setanta you will have to pay. Pretty sure that Eurosport is available FTA, check on Kingofsat.

Motor wise, the Moteck sg2100a or one of its clones should do fine.

The fact of the matter is, that to get Sky channels 'a subscription' is needed.

One of the Linux boxes would probably be up your street.

You can't just get a Dreambox and expect somebody to let you share their card with you. You have to have something worth sharing with them

In this game their is no such thing as Free TV, it just doesn't work like that

The only other alternative is connecting to a commercial payserver which 9 times out of 10 are sharing peoples cards without their knowledge that they are a pay server which makes them the biggest scum on the earth in my opinion

Its just not on that some scumbag makes money off a card which may cost upwards of £50 a month.

These scumbags never buy their own cards, they just make money from yours

Its simple, you want Sky, you pay for it one way or another

I wouldn't recommend any pay server at all even if i did know of any, and i doubt anybody else on here would either.

They are not cheap and more often than not they closedown with no notice at all taking your money with them

If you want to connect to a cardshare server don't say i didn't warn you when it goes tits up, which it will

If you want to get a share then get a Digitalb supersport card.

It will cost you just shy of £280 a year and maybe some people will share their cards with you

I can see what you say but at the end of the day Sky are charging you for something that belongs to them, Commercial cardservers unwittingly get people to share their cards by pretending to be a private individual who just wants to share his or hers card.

They make money from your cards, which isn't on.

i have a friend that has sky, if i got her card but it into a dream box would it decode the channels and then id give back the card

if my friend got caught(is that likely?)what would happen?

i wont involve my friend in this, but im just asking for reference

do people get in trouble for cardsharing?
