Default HTPC DVB-C Card

Hi all,
I am new to the DVB-C decrypting/card scene.

Looking to run my DVB-C signal into my PC. Do most people use the Digital Everywhere FloppyDTV cards or has anyone tried there TerraTec Cinergy card?

What CAM module would be recommended to decrypt the channels? I understand that if you use a multi-crypt CAM such as Matrix, you do not need a Smart Card at all. The provider here uses Nagra1 encryption.

Thanks.

floppydtv seems the best but expensive, don't think there's been much success with cam direct encoding i tried a matrix revolution that had nagra 1 encoding with selectable boxkey, but i couldn't get it to work....both my zetablue and white icecrypt flashed with joker 0.79 work fine with funs or moscs.

Thanks. I don't think zetablue or white icecrypt support Nagra1 though. As far as a smartcard goes, will a Funcard decrypt the channels?

both zetablue and white icecrypt cams can be flashed with joker 0.79 firmware to make them effectively jokercams....u can use fun and moscs with these to decrypt nagra 1...

i use a 5, u will need an inf usb to program the card, theres plenty of imgs about.....u will need to get 1 for ur area (provider dependant) and change the boxkey to pair with ur cam....a lot of people use the chatterbox tool bar i think to get the files....i've never used it so not really too sure....got all my files a couple of years ago b4 most of the forums changed their downloading policies...most people try softcams before they go down the cam & card route.

cheers

I am outside of the UK/US. Will I need a image for the card specifically for my provider?
