Hi , how do i open this bloody thing,lol? i unscrewed the two screws from underneath. When i try to open it it feels like its about to snap, i cant see anymore screws on. Is it alright to just yank it off?

btw is a "ntl:250" also knowing as a "ambit 250"?

To get this modem sorted is there any soldering required. I could have swear i read somewhere that there isnt but i have read some tuts which say soldering is required?

(I have ordered a RS232 Interface(comes with a header that fits straight on the 250))
Does this mean no soldering?

If its bricked with alex update,how do i tell?

no soldering m8 just use RS232 Interface..

If its bricked with alex update,how do i tell there will be no p in hyper. you will have to do the exploit

thanks 666 , a little bit of relief there as i was worrying about having to solder anything.
Ill check the p in hyper once i get my rs232 interference

remember roco do not put nthell cable onto modem,or it will update, just read it in hyper first

yea mate,i wasnt going to connect with cable feed yet, though it has been before connected in the past(About 6 months ago) before i knew about these updates ect.

iv been trying to find out about this hyperterminal but cant seem to figure it out.
I read some where its under start-all programs-accessories but i cant find it.
Do i need to install the hyperterminal?

na mate there doesnt seem to be one on my vista-laptop but there is on my desktop so ill use that.

a little confused here though,everywhere says not to connect cable feed in case modem gets bricked,however all the tuts say to connect cable feed in order to flash it?
