how to stop channel scan?

i am using 250configutator and i am getting nowhere,i have inserted different cnfg files and macs with no success.

i have checked the modem and p mode is enabled,anyways i read this:
1. First stop channel scan with this command:

cd \cm_hal
scan_stop cd \

(press enter)

2. Now enter the bpi cmd cd non-vol cd docsis enable bpi false write

3. Reboot modem

I HAVE SEEN THE MODEM SCANNING IN TELNET AND I WAS WANDERING WHY I CANT TYPE THIS IN?

WHAT AM I EXACTLY SUPPOSED TO DO?

OR MIGHT IT BE A CASE THAT THE MACS I AM PUTTING IN TILL NOWE ARE ALL NO GOOD?

just use armbit tool that will disable bpi

either i am missing something or you mistyped.i googled ARMBIT TOOL and its like no such thing exists.

if you mean ambit configurator tool i have it.i got a modem flashed with infinite off ebay (here we go again,i know same s**t just a different day) thats why i am more doing my homework.i have tried a few macs from a different ubr,i notice annex wont stay at b and shows 3.

i have used the 20mb config and another one,i have not tried to force it and i have tried around 7 or 8 different macs,will try some more when i put some time aside for it.i just thought rather than struggle getting nowhere it says in tutorial to run that command in telnet but,i have seen the modem in telnet serching for frequency (something like that) but,when i typed i got nothing on the telnet window.i know there is the echo thing but,i got an error and how do you go to next line without pressing enter?

so i am still stuck,if i cant find armbit tool and if its the 250 configurastor your reffering to.

i will just struggle on and input some more macs but,once i get to 20 i will know that something is not right.

i left dhcp sniffing only for around 3 hours ages ago at someones home while i was visiting.it is different ubr.

i am also in a telewest area.

is the 250 okay for tw?i assume it is according to haynes guide it works!

You need to force anex 3
Sometimes the ambit config tool doesn't do the commands.

Also rememberer to change your pc Ethernet mac address.
and remember some areas are now looking at the serial and if it doesn't match the mac then you wont get access.
also make sure the tuner is set to the proper setting. i have had nightmares. i don't know what could be happening but some people are having problems getting the modem to sync i think that some macs could be the new modems and you cant use that type of mac!
i have scanned around 50 macs and only 10 work!

my pc ethernet has not been used as yet as i got sb5100 with usb,thats the subbed modem.

so i will just keep trying macs.i will continue tomorrow.

so is it better to try to force the config or should i leave it unticked?
